Support your winter wellbeing with Yoga and Acupuncture

Winter is characterised by cold weather, a sense of heaviness, increased moisture (usually in the form of rain or snow), cloud-covered days, and a grounded, slow feeling that sends many animals into hibernation.

The stillness that characterises winter, brings a subtle invitation to redirect your energies inwards. This is a time to rest, reflect, hold space, vision, hibernate, and withdraw some of your outwardly focused energy and redirect it inward.

Yet, for some of you the calm, peaceful nature of winter may be a bit oppressive at times and can leave you feeling weighed down, stagnant, or uninspired.

During winter your work is to cultivate a light heart and a sense of purpose to counter the cold, grey weather and the seasonal tendency toward melancholy and loneliness.

Invite warmth into your mind, body, and relationships, and create opportunities for fun and laughter; but balance your gregariousness with quiet time, reflection, and stillness. Try to avoid rushing. Make an effort to embrace a slower, more relaxed pace through the winter months.

The slow, heavy qualities of the winter months offer a rare opportunity to retreat and check in with you.

Balance your winter months with the deep rest and nourishment that our Yin & Pin Winter Wellbeing series is designed to provide.

We combine the healing power of Yin/Gentle/Restorative Yoga and Acupuncture to support you through the cold and dark of winter.

Join our in-person workshop series for 1.5 hours each month to turn inwards, slow down, calm and sooth your mind and body.
