Happy Handstands - Online course

When was the last time you did a handstand?

This course will provide you with the skills and drills to build the ability to hold handstand in the middle of the room. This course uses Anusara Yoga's universal principles of alignment to support you to deepen your handstand practice and make handstands HAPPY!!

I have never met a Yogi yet who said that learning the skills and practicing for the hours required to hold a handstand wasn't worth it. This is because the sense of accomplishment and freedom that comes from holding handstand confidently is a real boost to the whole of your life confidence.
You will receive three hour long masterclasses, each breaking down an essential element for handstand success:
* Masterclass one - understanding the importance of your legs and core to hold a balance handstand in the middle of the room. Theme is "Make the decision, affirm yourself".
* Masterclass two - understanding the key shoulder principles with a reminder of the 'lock and load' from masterclass one. Theme is "The work of childhood is play".
* Masterclass three - learn how to safely and confidently enter and exit handstand. Theme is "stability".
Plus, four bonus classes from our YouTube channel or online studio that support you to build the skills and learn the actions to hold handstand in the middle of the room.
Handstands allow you to connect to your power and strength in a really deep, integrated and transformative way. To be able to balance in handstand takes a lot of integrated strength and courage.
As we get older, arm balancing yoga poses can bring up a lot of fear. But when we were young, they were fun, playful and engendered a sense of freedom. The flip side of moving through your fear is that you achieve a tremendous sense of accomplishment and breakthrough.
Handstands are one of my favourite yoga poses to teach, because they are immediately transformative.
In this class series we will learn and practice the techniques for happy handstands, breaking down the drills and poses in our practices at home so that you might one day be able to hold handstand in the middle of the room.
The masterclasses will be available to you for your lifetime.
Kristina Wischnowsky is an Anusara Inspired Yoga Teacher based in Christchurch NZ. Kristina is also a level 3/4 (750+ hours of teacher training completed) teacher registered with Yoga New Zealand and is currently completing a 300-hour teacher training towards Certification in Anusara Yoga method.
